Who's On, Who's Not?: April 20

In a weekly staple, we'll discuss who's in a groove and who's in a rut for the Texas Rangers.

Who's On?

Elvis Andrus — Over his last four games, Andrus is batting .417 and hasn't really cooled off yet this year, as he's batting .375 on the season while thriving in the bottom third of the order and getting more pitches to hit. He's still good for some boneheaded plays on the bases, but at least he's producing.

Delino DeShields — He's raking at the moment, hitting .455 over the last five games with two doubles and a rare home run from the top of the Rangers' order.

Nomar Mazara — The Mazara honeymoon hasn't ended yet, and we're not sure it ever will. He's batting .375 over his last five games with a double and three RBIs. Perhaps more impressive, he's drawn four walks and hasn't struck out over that time.

Who's Not?

Prince Fielder — Over his last five games, Prince is hitting just .150 but he did send a statement in the first inning of Tuesday's series opener with Houston with a rocket shot into the right-field porch.

Tom Wilhelmsen — His days with the Rangers might be numbered if this keeps up. He's now given up five runs in his last 1 1/3 innings and 10 runs in his four innings of work this year — good for a 22.50 ERA.
