It can no longer be said the Texas Rangers haven't made a big move this winter after they traded for Brewers starter Yovani Gallardo to fill a giant hole in their starting rotation.

But general manager Jon Daniels continues to make some small moves to fill some other roles on his roster, and on Tuesday he made another small move by trading for Gonzalez Germen, acquiring him from the New York Yankees for cash.

Germen never pitched for the Yankees, but did pitch last season for the New York Mets. The Yankees traded cash for Germen just last month and have now flipped him to Texas.

The righty reliever pitched in 25 games for the Mets in 2014 and had an unsightly 4.75 ERA. He'll be competing for one of the bullpen spots as a long shot given some solidified competition in the form of Neftali Feliz, Tanner Scheppers and Shawn Tolleson, just to name a few.
