These restaurants and retailers are honoring vets with deals and giveaways this Veterans Day

In appreciation of Veterans Day on Saturday, Nov. 11, businesses will honor active-duty and retired military with all sorts of deals.

Veterans Day is Saturday, November 11 and in honor of the service members that have so bravely served our country, restaurants and businesses nationwide are showing their gratitude with an array of free meals, discounts and other well-deserved perks.

Most discounts will require proof of a military ID. For online discounts, you may need to register for ID.me to verify military service.

Since Veterans Day 2020, current military service members and their dependents, veterans and gold star families started getting lifetime free access to national parks, wildlife refuges and other federal lands managed by the Department of the Interior, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs.

4Patriots:

One of the world's first and largest emergency preparedness providers, is offering all U.S. veterans and active military its $29 72-Hour Survival Food Kit for free on Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

Participants must complete a shipping form on the 4Patriots Veterans Day Celebration Page, which will be available only on Nov. 11.

Adidas:

As a special thank you, all military members can enjoy 30% off online and in-store and 20% off at factory outlets with prior ID.me verification.

Applebee's:

The restaurant chain is welcoming all active duty military, veterans, reserves, and National Guard to visit their local Applebee's to enjoy an in-restaurant complimentary entree from an exclusive menu. These guests will also receive $5 towards their next meal for dine-in, to-go or delivery within a three-week redemption window.

Bar Louie:

Bar Louie is inviting all active and retired military, and veterans to enjoy a complimentary Bar Louie Craft Burger on the house. Available all day and late-night, military members can choose from a selection of craft burger favorites like the Bourbon BBQ Burger, GastroBurger and more on Saturday, November 11th. 

The offer is valid for dine-in only at participating locations and recipients must show valid military ID.

Bear Mattress:

Bear Mattress is offering 40% off sitewide for military. They'll also include free sleep accessories with any mattress purchase. Verify your status online through id.me.

BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse:

BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse will be celebrating the country's veterans and active-duty members with a free dessert with a minimum purchase of $11.95. Current and former military will also receive a free appetizer coupon on their next visit.

Buffalo Wild Wings:

All past and present armed services members can get a free order of 10 boneless wings and fries on Nov. 11. The offer is available for dine-in with valid ID. BWW GO Locations will be included for walk-in/order at th e counter.

California Pizza Kitchen:

California Pizza Kitchen is honoring veterans and active-duty military with a complimentary meal from a prix fixe menu on Nov. 11. They will also receive a BOGO offer to redeem for a pizza, pasta or salad that can be redeemed from Nov. 12 to November 21. 

A fundraiser in support of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) will also take place ahead of Veterans Day from Nov. 6-8. Just mention DAV when dining in or enter code DAV at checkout for online orders. 20% of food and beverage sales will support the charitable foundation.

Chili's Grill & Bar:

Chili's is offering veterans and active military members a free meal for in-restaurant dining only from a select menu on Nov. 11. Beverages and gratuity are not included.

Cici's Pizza:

Free adult buffet for veterans and active-duty personnel with military ID on Saturday, November 11. The offer is valid for dine-in only and it does not include a drink.

Comcast:

In gratitude for your service, Comcast has a special customer offer if you are currently serving in the military or you are a veteran: a $50 prepaid card. Some restrictions apply, so visit their site here to learn more.

Women have been a part of U.S. military history since the American Revolution, but the armed forces were not integrated until an executive order from President Harry Truman in 1948 - and women were only allowed to serve in direct ground combat roles starting in 2013. Denny's:

Veterans can enjoy a free "Build your Own Grand Slam" from 5 a.m. to noon with a valid military ID or DD 214. This is only available at participating locations, so make sure to call ahead.

Devil-Dog Dungarees:

Devil-Dog Dungarees offers a year-round 20% military discount off the entire purchase for active duty, retirees, veterans, military spouses and military family members. You can receive your discount while shopping online by verifying your eligibility with ID.me.

Dollar General:

Service members and their immediate family members get 20% off the total purchase in-store or online on Nov. 9-12.

Dunkin':

Veterans and active-duty military service members will receive a free donut of choice at participating locations on November 11. No purchase is necessary but the offer is available in-store only. Not available for mobile orders or orders placed in the app.

Friendly's:

From 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 11th, Friendly’s will be offering Veterans a free lunch. Veterans get a free All American Cheeseburger and drink of choice with an active Military ID. 

Fogo de Chão:

The upscale Brazilian steakhouse is offering 50% off to veterans and active duty personnel for their dine-in meal from Friday, Nov. 10 to Sunday, Nov. 12. Up to three guests per military member will receive 10% off their meal as well.

Must present Military ID, DOD ID, DVA ID or DD214 ID to receive discount. 

Fruit of the Loom:

As part of their Heroes program, military receive 30% off every day with ID.me.

Golden Corral:

The restaurant buffet is showing its appreciation for the men and women in uniform with its annual Military Appreciation Night on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023, from 5 p.m. to close. Active members and veterans will receive a free “thank you” dinner.

Veterans Day and Memorial Day both honor the U.S. military community, but both holidays serve different purposes.

Goodyear Auto Service:

Goodyear Auto Service and Just Tires locations are offering free car care checks for vets to active, former and retired military in honor of Veterans Day this year. 

The promotion runs from Nov. 10-14 and includes free tire, brake and battery checks, plus, an additional 10% off tires and services. For those who are unable to get their car in by Nov. 14, qualifying guests are able to schedule an appointment by Nov. 14 and still take advantage of this deal through Nov. 19.  

Hat Creek Burger:

All veterans will get a free Big Hat Burger with valid military ID on Veteran’s day.

Hooters:

On Nov. 11, all veterans who present a military ID or proof of service and purchase a beverage at any participating Hooters location nationwide will receive a free entrée from the Hooters Veterans Day Menu (available for dine-in only). The Hooters Veterans Day Menu includes five of Hooters’ most popular entrées including: Buffalo Chicken Salad, Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Hooters Burger, and 10-Piece Boneless Wings.

HP:

Military members can receive everyday discounts of up to 40% off and free shipping with verification through ID.me.

IHOP:

Veterans and active-duty military can get free Red, White & Blueberry pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov. 11. Available for dine-in only. 1 per person.

IKEA:

Veterans are invited to come and enjoy a FREE entrée on November 10-12 in their Swedish Restaurant.

From November 10 through 22, veterans and active military members and their spouses get a 15% discount on in-store home furnishings purchases, up to $3000 (pre-tax).

You will need to register for the event before Friday, November 10 04:30 a.m. ET and must show a valid military ID.

Kohl's:

Active and former military personnel, veterans and their families can get 30% off in-store purchases from Saturday, Nov. 10 to Monday, Nov. 12 with a valid military ID.

Active military, veterans, retirees and their immediate family members can also redeem a 15% discount on purchases made in-store on Mondays.

Little Caesars Pizza:

Current military personnel and veterans can receive a free lunch combo, which features four slices of Little Caesars' popular Detroit-style Deep Dish pizza, paired with a 20-ounce Pepsi product, at participating locations between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. 

Mission BBQ:

"Freedom Isn't Free." Veterans will receive a free sandwich on Veterans Day.

Nixon:

Current and veteran military members are eligible for a 30% off site-wide discount on Nixon.com now through Nov. 11 with ID.me verification.

Office Depot:

All active-duty and retired military personnel get 25% off in-store purchases Nov. 11-13. Military ID is required.

Outback Steakhouse:

Veterans can enjoy a free Bloomin' Onion and Coca-Cola beverage on Veterans Day with valid proof of service. Outback Steakhouse also offers a 10% discount on the entire check to all service members, nurses, doctors, medical staff, police officers and firefighters with valid ID all day, every day.

Perry's Steakhouse:

Perry's is offering Veterans and military members a free pork chop lunch on Friday, November 10 from 10:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. when accompanied by a guest purchasing one lunch or dinner entree.

For Veterans Day on November 11, Perry's will be offering a 3-course menu for $39 for dine-in only from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. Reservations and military ID are required. 

PJ's Coffee:

Veterans and Active Duty Military can get a free 12oz hot coffee or cold brew iced coffee.

Pokéworks:

Veterans & service members get 20% off any order with a valid military ID on Nov. 11 and 12 in-store only.

Randolph USA:

Randolph USA has supplied eyewear to the US military for over 40 years. As a ‘thank you’ for your service, they offer 20% off any order.

Ray-Ban:

Ray Ban sunglasses offers a 15% discount for US military through ID.me.

Red Lobster:

Veterans, active-duty military and reservists can get free printed meal vouchers for ‘Veterans Shrimp & Chips' on Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for dine-in or to-go. Guests need to show a valid military ID or proof of service to redeem.

The voucher can then be redeemed beginning Monday, Nov. 13 through Sunday, Dec. 10 for dine-in only.

Red Robin:

All veterans and active-duty military members will receive a free Red's Big Tavern Burger and bottomless steak fries on Nov. 11. The one-time offer is valid for dine-in only.

Rite-Aid:

From Friday, Nov. 10 – Sunday, Nov. 12, all veterans and active military personnel who show their military ID at any Rite Aid store location will receive 15% off. 

A Rite Aid Rewards membership is required. The purchase must be on eligible, regular-priced products in a single transaction excluding sales tax and after all other applicable discounts are applied. Limit one per transaction.

Not valid on prescriptions and co-pays, alcohol, tobacco products, lottery, money services, gift cards, prepaid cards, newspapers, stamps, online purchases, mailing services, licenses, or items excluded by law.

Starbucks:

On Saturday, Nov. 11, Starbucks will be offering a free “tall” (12-oz) hot or iced coffee of choice to active military service members, veterans and military spouses. Just mention your military affiliation when placing your order.

The offer is valid on café and drive-thru orders only. Cold brew is not included. Limit one per customer.

Target:

Veterans, active-duty military members and their families can get 10% off in-store or online orders. The Military Appreciation Discount runs from Oct.29 through Nov. 11 and can be used on two separate transactions. Customers must first register at www.target.com/circle/military to confirm eligibility.

Taziki's:

Taziki’s will honor veterans with ‘Gyros for our Heroes’. All veterans will receive a free Chicken Gyro on Veterans Day. 

Tim Horton's:

All active military members and veterans can get a free small hot coffee.

Twin Peaks:

Twin Peaks will be offering Veterans a free lunch on Nov. 11. Veterans get to pick a free menu item such as a Cheeseburger, Chicken Tenders, Caesar Salad (Chicken or Shrimp), or Chicken Street Tacos. 

Under Armour:

Service members and their families are eligible for 40% off all purchases at UnderArmour.com, Under Armour stores and Under Armour Factory House now through Nov. 19.

Uno Pizzeria:

Military members past and present will receive a free meal for dine-in only on Veterans Day. Must present military or veteran ID.

Venture X:

Coworking companies Venture X and Office Evolution are offering Veterans the opportunity to work for free throughout the entire month of November in their coworking spaces.

Benefits include free high-speed internet, coffee and refreshments and other office amenities.

Wendy's:

In honor of Veterans Day, Wendy’s is thanking those who have served or are currently serving with a free Sausage, Egg and Cheese English Muffin, Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit or crowd-favorite Breakfast Baconator combo from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 11 with a valid military ID or a Veterans Advantage card.
