A man charged last week in South Texas with capital murder in the December 2012 fatal shooting of a man in Mission was arraigned this week on capital murder charges in a shooting at a family gathering a month earlier.
The Monitor in McAllen reports 23-year-old Carlos Olvera was arraigned Monday at Hidalgo County Jail in Edinburg on charges of capital murder and attempted capital murder in a November 2012 shooting in which two people were killed and three others injured outside a rural Mission home.
Olvera was charged Thursday in Mission with capital murder and aggravated kidnapping for his role in the December 2012 fatal shooting of a 27-year-old at a home.
Olvera remained in Hidalgo County Jail Tuesday on no bond. Jail officials had no attorney information.
