Irving Animal Care Campus Excited for Empty the Shelter Day

For the first time, the city of Irving expanded a local campaign called ‘Empty the Shelter,’ getting more than 30 cities, counties, and non-profits together to adopt out as many furry friends as possible. In Irving Animal Care Campus alone the intake doubled during summer months. Empty the Shelter Day is August 16. Between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. that day participating animal shelters across DFW will waive adoption fees. NBC 5 is a proud sponsor.
