Austin police say a driver has been charged with reckless driving after he was clocked doing 117 mph during rush hour.
Police said Etman Samghezli had been involved in an earlier crash, but left the scene.
According to court records reviewed by KXAN-TV, the NBC affilitate in Austin, police spotted Samghezli's car as it was racing through traffic Friday evening.
The speed limit on the freeway where he was driving is 65 mph, putting him 52 mph over the limit.
Officers said once they pulled him over, they found a passenger in his car was five months pregnant.
