Dallas police said they are investigating a fatal shooting in a parking lot Thursday night.
When officers arrived an apartment complex in the 7400 block of Chesterfield Drive at about 11 p.m., they found a man dead in the parking lot, according to police.
Detectives said they learned that the victim, a man in his mid-20s, was involved in a disturbance with an unknown man, who fired at the victim multiple times.
Witnesses told police that the victim was running from the apartment when he was shot in his torso.
The victim's name has not yet been released.
Authorities said they are still interviewing witnesses.
