A North Texas fifth-grader fighting cancer is inspiring an entire community.
Trinity Moran attends Walker Creek Elementary, and her friends at Birdville High School are coming together to lift her up.
Trinity has not been able to attend school this year because she was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, an aggressive form of cancer. She has been taking radiation and chemotherapy ever since. Those treatments have taken a toll on her body.
"I'm just scared that there are more tumors growing, but I try to beat them as much as I can," Trinity said.
Earlier this week, she was dealt another painful blow. Her doctors discovered four new tumors.
"I know I can keep doing it and I'll be stronger each time. If it's a lifelong thing, I can do it," she said.
Friday night, Birdville High school cheerleaders welcomed Trinity to join them on the sideline of the varsity basketball game. Each of them wore shades of green, her favorite color. They sold bracelets, with all proceeds going toward Trinity's medical costs.

"I keep saying to myself I can do this, I can do this," Trinity said.
"She's amazing," said Kimberly Rasmus, Trinity's mom. "I've never seen so much strength from a child. She's just my hero."
A portion of the proceeds from Friday's game will also go directly toward Trinity's medical bills. If you would like to help contribute, visit the GoFundMe page in her honor.
