Caught on Camera: Canadian Man Flees Fire

Some apocalyptic and harrowing scenes are showing up on social media of that raging wildfire in Canada. Jared Sabovitch posted this video to Instagram, showing him fleeing his house Wednesday as the fire approached. He’s one of more than 80,000 people that have been forced to evacuate Fort McCurray, Canada, where officials warned Wednesday that all efforts to suppress the fire have failed. The fire has destroyed entire neighborhoods. Officials warned that the situation could get worse. Right now, no injuries have been reported. Unseasonably hot temperatures combined with dry conditions have fueled the flames and transformed the Boreal Forest in much of Alberta into a tinder box.
