Amazon continues to grow their operation in North Texas, holding two grand openings Friday.
The two new Amazon Fulfillment Centers are located in Coppell on West Bethel Road and in Haslet on Westport Parkway. State and local leaders gathered Friday to tour both facilities.
The facility in Coppell has actually been in use for quite some time.
"We have been in build and operation since September 2013,” said Amazon spokesman Dan Seidel. “We are very excited to show off this state-of-the-art facility to our partners in the Texas community."
Both centers will use innovative technologies including the use of robotics. The robotic arms will be used on a daily basis to fulfill customer orders.
Both centers will employee hundreds of employees. The number of employees at both centers will vary depending on the season.
