Allen police say an 11-year-old boy who had been reported missing earlier Friday evening has been found safe.
The child was located at a restaurant, officials said.[[366270031,L]]
Police said the child approached a restaurant worker saying he had run away and needed help.
The search had been focused on the area near Green Elementary School, located on the 1300 block of Comanche Drive, where he was last seen riding on his bicycle.
The Texas Department of Public Safety used a helicopter with night-vision technology to assist Allen police in the search.
Additional details were not immediately available.
