2 Arrested After High-Speed Chase in Dallas

Police say two people were arrested after leading officers on a high speed chase through Dallas Saturday morning.

According to police, the chase started just before 2 a.m. after a driver failed to stop at a light near Oak Lawn Avenue and Interstate 35E.

The chase continued for about 30 minutes at speeds reaching more than 90 miles per hour, police said.

After about 30 minutes, officers used a spike strip in the southbound lanes of the frontage road for U.S. Route 175, near Masters Drive. Shortly after, the car came to a stop in front of the Cowboy Club on U.S. 175.

The driver was arrested. A woman riding inside the car was arrested for tampering with evidence after officers saw drugs being thrown from the car during the pursuit, according to police.

No further information was released.
