Second Annual Tweed Ride

Play kicks off each morning by casting a bleary eye back on last night's defining moment and presenting it with our very own shiny nightlife award: The Owly. From an indie band cheekily covering the latest pop song during a local show to a surprise celebrity guest dancing during a DJ set to the 5-0 shutting down a notorious nightclub, we'll be shining our spotlight on the one thing that's sure to have everyone abuzz. Think we missed the night's standout moment? Make your own nominations by sending videos, pictures and dispatches from the field to DFW@TheFeast.com

The streets of Dallas were flooded yesterday with hundreds of strapping gentlemen and dapper ladies peddling through in wool knickers, Paperboy hats and faux mustaches for the second annual Tweed Ride. The smart looking bunch gathered at the Grassy Knoll in downtown and casually rode into Oak Cliff, finally ending up at the Turner House, a historic 1912 beauty which is now home to the Oak Cliff Society of Fine Arts. Drinks were passed and games were played as folks practiced their fake British accents and showed off their new looks. If you missed the fun, keep an eye on Suburban Assault and Bike Friendly Oak Cliff to keep abreast of two wheel shenanigans taking place all over the city.
