Motorcyclist Injured as High-speed Chase Ends in Crash in Red Oak

A motorcyclist who fled from police in a high-speed chase that began in Mesquite and ended in Red Oak was in critical condition after slamming into the back of a car Monday night.It began around 10:50 p.m. when a Mesquite police officer attempted a traffic stop on westbound Interstate 20. The motorcyclist fled, kicking of a chase down I-20 into Dallas, then down southbound I-35E into Ellis County, police said.Speeds reached higher than 100 mph as the chase entered Red Oak, police said, when the suspect crashed into a car at I-35E near State Highway 77.The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, police said.The other vehicle, which had damage to its right rear, came to a safe stop and no one was injured.  Continue reading...
