Border Agents in Laredo Seize $3 Million in Drugs in 2 Days, Including Cocaine Hidden in Tomatoes

Border agents intercepted more than $3 million in cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin in two weekend busts at the bridge into Laredo. On Friday, a Customs and Border Protection officer stopped a Freightliner tractor-trailer carrying tomatoes at the Colombia-Solidarity Bridge. Inspectors discovered 44 packages containing 111 pounds of cocaine hidden in the shipment.Officials said the drugs have an estimated street value of $857,500.  Continue reading...
