There's a pretty solid chance that Jurickson Profar has a game left before his day of reckoning in the Rangers' organization.

With Rougned Odor's seven-game suspension set to end on Friday, the Rangers second baseman will be returning to the lineup on Saturday for the middle game of a three-game series with the Mariners for the AL West lead.

So what will the Rangers do with Profar, who's hit .357 in his 28 at-bats since being called up to take Odor's place last week? It's not an easy decision, and it seemingly isn't one that has been made yet.

Odor was the team's leadoff hitter for much of the season and would most likely slide back into that spot if Profar is sent down, but remember this: Odor struggled horribly before his suspension began.

In 14 career games at leadoff (12 starts), Profar has a triple-slash of .316/.339/.509 with three doubles, a triple and two homers to go with four RBIs and eight runs. He certainly looked the part on Wednesday when he scored in the first inning after a double and a tag-up from third on a shallow foul ball. It was the epitome of being a great leadoff man and table-setter.

In 37 career games at leadoff, Odor is a .258/.291/.448 hitter with 11 doubles, a triple, six homers and 19 RBIs with 22 runs scored.

Of course, the Rangers' best leadoff hitter is probably veteran Shin-Soo Choo, who has more career starts in the leadoff spot than in any other spot in the order with a .284/.390/.453 slash, 47 homers and 128 RBIs and 234 runs in 370 games.

But who knows when Choo will be healthy again. In the meantime, Profar is looking like the best option, it's just a question of whether it works out for him to be on the roster.
