Robin Carter is a special projects photojournalist for NBC 5 Responds where her storytelling focuses on helping North Texans find solutions to consumer concerns.
Robin’s recent projects include coverage of a family’s fight to access a $2.1 million treatment for their infant and a North Texas Vietnam veteran’s efforts to upgrade his decades-old military discharge.
Robin joined NBC 5 in 2019 after more than two decades at news stations in Virginia, Texas, and Florida. She has experience working in all facets of television including news production, medical reporting, consumer, and special projects. Robin’s work has been honored with 13 regional Emmy awards.
Robin was inspired to follow the journalism path after taking a high school class. She graduated from Radford University in Virginia and started her first job a few months later.
When Robin is not helping North Texans resolve their consumer complaints, you will find her at a baseball game watching her son play or spending time with her husband and family – which includes a super cute corgi.
