Pat Doney

Pat Doney is NBC 5’s weekend sports anchor and has a real passion for storytelling.

He's won three Edward R. Murrow awards and three Emmy awards in his 14 years as a sports reporter, including for his coverage of the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

Pat has worked as a sports reporter/anchor in Virginia, South Carolina, Arkansas and Kentucky before moving to Texas in 2013, and serves as the host of NBC 5’s Big Game Friday high school football show and Wingstop Inside High School Sports, while consistently covering the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks as well.

A native of Huntington Beach, California, he is married to his best friend, Sheleena, and they have two kids — Barlow and Hudson — and love living in North Texas.
