A 20-year-old North Texas soldier died last Friday from injuries he received in a vehicle rollover crash, The Department of Defense said.

Pfc. Peter K. Cross of Saginaw, Texas, died at Combat Outpost Carwile, Afghanistan.

Cross was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) in Fort Drum, N.Y.
