Irving Police Need Help with Shooting Investigation

Irving police are trying to find the person responsible for shooting a driver near Las Colinas.

Police said Crystal Battee, 27, was traveling westbound on state Highway 114 near Cistercian Road when a bullet came through the vehicle's windshield, hitting the driver in the hand.

Battee was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital to receive medical treatment, said police in a news release.

The shooter has not been identified.

Police would like anyone who has information about the shooting to call 972-273-1010 and reference case number 14-9697. Tips can also be sent by email to ipdcrimetips@cityofirving.org.

The motive behind the shooter is unknown and the investigation continues.
