NBC 5 Forecast: Heavy Rain and Severe Storms Likely This Evening

Showers and thunderstorms are likely this evening as a large storm system moves into North Texas. Widespread heavy rain and gusty winds will accompany the storms. Some of the stronger storms could produce hail and perhaps even a brief tornado. It would be wise to stay “weather aware” later today. With the potential of 1 to 2 inches of rain in a short amount of time, localized flooding is also possible.
