A disturbance will increase clouds across North Texas on Sunday. While most will stay dry, a few sprinkles are possible during the afternoon and evening hours. Expect high temperatures to remain below normal, climbing into the mid to upper-70s.

In the wake of a cold front, North winds are allowing for drier and more comfortable air to arrive across the DFW area. The weekend will be dry and pleasant with high temperatures mostly in the 70s to near 80 degrees.

Occasional rain and a few rumbles of thunder can be expected along with chilly temperatures Sunday.

A cloudy, windy and more muggy air mass has settled over North Texas. That will remain to be the case through Thursday. South winds could gust over 30 mph tonight, and close to 40 mph on Wednesday. Those southerly winds are bringing in higher humidity air from the Gulf so it will stay rather muggy.

After another cool start Monday morning, a pleasantly warm afternoon will take shape across North Texas with sunshine. High temperatures Monday will climb into the upper-70s to lower-80s.

The new week will begin with sunshine but unsettled weather will make a return by midweek. A few isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

A cold front will pass through today, pushing the chance for storms off to the east and southeast. Some of these storms could be strong, but DFW will not see them.

There may be a few thunderstorms that impact far northwest Texas tonight, but North Texas will remain dry. Storms will form in Oklahoma this evening and move south. Some storms will be severe with gusty winds and hail, but they will weaken by late evening as they move into parts of northwest Texas.

Rain is likely southeast of Dallas-Fort Worth through tonight. Some of the rain could be heavy in parts of Central Texas, but no severe weather is expected. Rain amounts in DFW will be light, a tenth to a quarter of an inch, while areas south could receive one to two inches of rain.

A cool weather pattern will remain in place across North Texas through Friday. In addition, cloud cover will be extensive, holding temperatures down. Rain is likely southeast of Dallas-Fort Worth through Friday night.

A cold front will move across North Texas late tonight, bringing storm chances to DFW between 2-6 a.m. Wednesday. Some of these storms could be severe with a threat of damaging winds and hail.
