Yet again, another chance of thunderstorms is in the forecast today, mainly for the afternoon and/or evening. In the meantime, clouds are in place to start the day with sunshine by midday.
With northwest flow in control, we'll be watching storms up in Oklahoma move our way later today. This is most likely to hold off until this afternoon or evening, so most of the day will be dry until the storms arrive. The humidity will remain high. Keep an eye to the sky for those storm chances. The primary threats are heavy rainfall, damaging winds, large hail and a few tornadoes.
A slight chance for an isolated thunderstorm will hold on for Tuesday and Wednesday, but the coverage looks quite low.
Otherwise, a pattern change is expected later in the week with drier and hotter weather setting in. Highs will be in the lower to mid-90s. Heat index values will reach into the 100s.
