Another shot of cooler air arrives for Friday which will cool parts of North Texas into the 60s for highs (especially from DFW and points north). Meanwhile, the 70s are likely to hang around farther south. Saturday will be very warm in the 80s with a high likelihood of some areas breaking high temperature records. The record high at DFW is 85 (1962).
A sharp cool-down can be expected by Sunday when temperatures fall below normal into the 40s and 50s. The cool air will last deep into the week. In addition, there is a good chance of showers heading into next week.
