Brooking on Philly: “We're Going To Get Their Best”

The Eagles will have a chance to play spoilers in Dallas on Saturday

Coming into their week 16 matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles, the Cowboys still have a bad taste in their mouth from then last time the two teams met, way back on October 30.

Dallas was defeated--or more accurately, beaten down by the Eagles, losing 34-7 in a game that saw Philadelphia finally start to find their rhythm on offense.

“That was a humbling experience, there's no doubt. We watched that film a lot this week,” linebacker Keith Brooking said, per ESPN Dallas. “We know the problems they pose for us defensively. They have a lot of talent on the offensive side of the ball. We got to do our homework, we got to have our best week, no doubt.”

Philly is coming off a similar dismantling of the New York Jets, while Dallas, for now anyway, owns the division lead--this near the end of a season that’s seen Dallas, New York and Washington hold division leads.

“They're hot right now, I mean it's amazing ... the NFC East this year, how [they're] dead in the water a few weeks ago and now they're back in the picture,” Brooking said. “You know, last week they're crowning the Giants NFC East champions then they had the let down this week against Washington.

“They're hungry, I mean we're going to get their best. I mean they're still in it obviously they don't control their destiny, lots of things got to happen but we're going to get their best shot and we have to be ready for it.”
