The Road to Rio starts Wednesday in Frisco for the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team.
The buzz is already building around the team as they begin the CONCACAF Olympic qualification tournament and make their push for a third consecutive gold medal.
Emily Howe, 12, started playing soccer shortly after she could walk. She now practices with her FC Dallas team twice a week. Training right next to the top Americans is an experience she won't soon forget.
"It's very exciting and I would like to play with them and have that career," she said.
Young soccer players lined fences outside Toyota Stadium to catch a glimpse of their favorite players in action Tuesday.
Some fans even brought T-shirts and hopes of having the chance to snag a signature.
"It's really cool because they're coming here and we get to see them in this stadium," said 12-year-old Noah Peeler. "I think it's fascinating that they're here."
