Families share warnings of amoeba that can be found in some bodies of water
The CDC confirmed that the 2024 death of a 71-year-old Texas woman was caused by a brain eating amoeba. They say she came into contact with it while using tap water from an RV for a nasal rinse but the amoeba can be found in any fresh water.
