Rowlett police say a radio message sent two schools into a brief lockdown Thursday.
According to police, someone used a radio to ask authorities to lock down Coyle Middle School. Neighboring Stephens Elementary School was also placed under lock down as a precaution.
Authorities lifted the lockdowns after about 15 minutes. Nothing suspicious was found.
Police said the investigation into who sent the message was ongoing.
