Police Blotter: DPD Officer Injured

Here's a list of recent activities drawing the attention of North Texas law enforcement. List compiled on Sept. 15, 2011.

Officer Injured Chasing Suspect
A police officer was injured Wednesday evening during a foot chase with a drug suspect in West Dallas. It happened about 6 p.m. after the Dallas officer pulled over Virlon Raydell Brown for a traffic violation on Singleton Boulevard near Chalk Hill Road. Brown was wearing body armor at the time.

Parolee Arrested in Man’s Fatal Stabbing
A 53-year-old paroled felon was arrested Tuesday evening on a capital murder warrant in connection with a robbery and fatal stabbing Saturday, according to the Star-Telegram. Clifton L. Wesley is accused of stabbing Preston Lorenzo Hunt, 48, inside Hunt's apartment in the 900 block of Hemphill Street. Hunt's girlfriend found his body Saturday afternoon.

Arrest Made in Multiple Attempted Abductions
Lewisville police have charged a 25-year-old man in the attempted kidnappings of two women and two girls this week. Police said the man attacked two women in Lewisville while they were out for a walk or jog and tried to pick up two children outside an elementary school. Read the full report here.
