The driver of a motorcycle was injured in a crash just before midnight Saturday along S. Cooper Street in Arlington.
NBC 5 has learned the rider lost control of his bike, struck a median and was thrown from the bike along the busy thoroughfare north of Interstate 20.
The rider, whose name has not yet been confirmed, was critically injured in the crash.
Investigators with the Arlington Police Department said excessive speed was a factor in the crash.
