Fort Worth police have ended a search at a Haltom City creek.
Police said Monday morning that a prisoner told them he had knowledge of a body in the creek, but beyond that investigators have provided no further details on the case.
Officers searched the area all day Monday and said they found no evidence of a crime.
Police have not said to what case the search is related.
Overnight Sunday, officers established and guarded a perimeter around the search site along the 6200 block of Little Fossil Road.
Residents in the area told NBC 5 they saw officers with police dogs searching the rural, thick terrain Sunday night before sundown. Residents also said they saw a man dressed in jail overalls and shackles talking with several detectives on scene.
Fort Worth police have also set up a large RV that will be used to help process evidence during the investigation.
