Construction Worker Injured at Plano Site

A construction worker has non-life-threatening injuries after falling at a site in Plano, officials said.

The man fell approximately 10 feet down off of a ladder from the 16th floor onto the 15th floor, Plano Fire Deputy Chief Kelly Helm said. The man was trying to grab a load off a construction crane and fell. He was wearing a harness that was attached to the building.

The stairs haven't been built high enough so rescue workers had to hoist him down with a crane.

The man faces serious injuries that are non-life-threatening.

The construction site is called LVL29 and will be Legacy West's tallest tower at 29 stories. The $100 million residential high rise will be the tallest residential building outside of Dallas. It's expected to be finished in early 2019.
