Police are releasing new details in a shooting that critically wounded a 3-year old girl Monday night in southern Dallas.
Dallas police said the incident happened around 11 p.m. Monday at a gas station on the 3900 block of Linfield Road.
Investigators on the scene said the little girl was sitting inside a pickup truck when it was hit by gunfire.
The 3-year-old ended up being shot and was quickly taken to Children's Health Medical Center in Dallas for treatment. She was in critical condition as of early Tuesday, according to Dallas police.

Detectives said they were able to obtain surveillance video showing a male driver of a silver Nissan Armada fire multiple shots into the vehicle where the toddler was located.
Police have released the photo (below) with the hopes that the public can help find the man.
It's unknown what lead up to the altercation or what the relationship is between the two drivers and the little girl.

Deshon Jackson says he witnessed the aftermath of the shooting.
“When the ambulance got there, the girl was dangling from the older Black guy’s arms and he was hugging her,” he recalled. “I thought she was just dead because she was just dangling there like she had no life.”
