The weekend will be warm and partly cloudy, but Meteorologist Kevan Smith says there’s a chance for showers and storms starting Sunday and increasing on Memorial Day on Monday.
Near record heat for Saturday with highs into the mid-90s. Also, the humidity will be quite high. Combined with hot temperatures, the heat index will push close to 100 degrees. Keep this in mind as you make your outdoor plans and be sure not to overdo it.
Rain and storm chances return late Sunday. A few showers and thunderstorms will be possible, especially by Sunday night. These rain chances look to increase for Memorial Day Monday, as showers and thunderstorms could be more widespread. Next week, high temperatures will drop into the upper-70s to lower-80s.
