The next storm system will move through the area bringing widespread rain Sunday afternoon and isolated thunderstorms late Sunday night into Monday morning. No severe weather is expected. The rain will be gone by New Year’s Eve morning. Sunshine will return along with a very brief shot of warmer air. It won’t last long as a cold front sweeps through the area Monday night.
