Kansas City Man Awakes to Find Hawk in Bedroom

A Kansas City neighborhood is dealing with an intruder, a red-tailed hawk, that is breaking into homes and leaving a huge mess.

A hawk caught breaking and entering a Kansas City bedroom now has a new home.

"I heard an extremely large crash coming from my bedroom," Drew Arnold said.

Arnold found the red-tailed hawk flapping around his home.

"It knocked everything off my dresser," he said. "Ripped up the curtains a little bit, knocked all the pictures off the wall and pooped on everything."

Now, the bird's on her new perch at the Lakeside Nature Center.
