A dead 11-foot alligator was removed from a storm drain in Fort Myers, Florida Monday morning.
A picture was snapped as Lee County transportation workers removed the gator.
Authorities first discovered the gator after residents complained of a foul smell coming from the catch basin.
Florida Fish and Wildlife officials say it's not uncommon for alligators to get caught in storm drains.
The animal was later buried at a site designated for the disposal of dead animals.
