Sakura Kokumai Celebrates Japanese Heritage Through Karate

Sakura Kokumai will be representing the U.S. at the Tokyo Olympics, where karate makes its debut. Kokumai, who grew up in Hawaii, was encouraged by her parents to celebrate her Japanese culture through karate and the playing of a musical instrument called a koto.
