Roy Williams Now a Bengals Defender

Former Cowboys safety hired on with Cincinnati

The Cincinnati Bengals have signed veteran safety Roy Williams, a five-time Pro Bowl player for the Dallas Cowboys.

The eighth-year NFL player was released in March by the Cowboys. He broke his right forearm in the second game last season and missed the next three. In his first game back, he broke it again.

The first-round draft choice from Oklahoma will be reunited with Mike Zimmer, the Bengals defensive coordinator and former Cowboy defensive coordinator.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports the deal is for one-year worth seven figures.
