Like Bengie Molina last season, another player in the World Series will get a ring no matter which team wins.
Arthur Rhodes, who started the year in the bullpen for the Texas Rangers, now plays for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Rhodes, who is from Waco, was released by the Rangers in August when the team picked up Mike Adams.
Rhodes, a true journeyman pitcher, has played for nine teams over 20 years. He had Tommy John surgery in 2007, but was able to rebound and be named to the All-Star team for the first time in 2010. For the Rangers, Rhodes had 32 appearances, 15 strikeouts, a 4.81 ERA and a WHIP of 1.48.
Game 1 of the World Series is Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m.
