Cowboys Glad to See DeMarcus Ware in Super Bowl

Ware spent nine seasons in Dallas and is the Cowboys all-time sacks leader

11 seasons into his NFL career, DeMarcus Ware is finally going to the Super Bowl, and those who know Ware from his nine seasons in Dallas couldn’t be happier for the 33-year-old.

"He just did everything the right way," said executive vice president Stephen Jones, per the Dallas Morning News. "On the field, off the field, great with kids, the ultimate competitor. I think he's a shoo-in hall of famer and just really made us feel good to get to see him go play in a Super Bowl, and of course played lights out. That really made us feel good to see him get after it like that and having a chance to play for a championship."

Ware, the Cowboys all-time leader in sacks, got credit for half a sack of Tom Brady in Sunday’s 20-18 victory over the Patriots.

"DeMarcus has had such a good year for them,” Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said from the Senior Bowl this week. "I thought he came up so big in the [AFC Championship] game the other day. He had a lot of impact plays late in the ballgame. He affected the quarterback. That's what he's done throughout his career. I have a lot of admiration for him as a guy and as a player."
