Cowboys Bring Back DE Lavar Edwards

Edwards was released on Saturday

The Dallas Cowboys re-signed defensive end Lavar Edwards on Tuesday, less than a week after being released.

The Cowboys originally acquired Edwards in a trade with the Tennessee Titans, the team that drafted him in the fifth round of the 2013 Draft, in exchange for a conditional seventh round pick just before the season began. He played some in the opener, missed the Titans game with a knee injury and was released the day before the victory over the Rams.

In eight career games, Edwards has nine tackles and a pass defensed. He has yet to record a tackle as a member of the Cowboys.
