Can the Cowboys Pack Their New Home?

Despite a dismal playoff bid, will the Dallas Cowboys be able to pack their new $1.2 billion stadium in Arlington this year? Some analysts say yes.

Here are the reasons to think Jerry Jones might be able to fill the 80,000-seat stadium with adoring fans:

  • 85 percent of the ticket inventory for "Jerry World" was sold as of November.
  • The Cowboys have sold out every home game since 1991.
  • They only play 10 home games every year.
  • Even awful clubs get a ticket boost when they move to a new facility.

And here are some reasons to think Jones won't meet the goal:

  • Season ticket prices ranging from $89 to $340 per game, plus a one-time seat option fee ranging from $4,000 to $150,000.
  • Suite prices ranging from $150,000 to $350,000 which require a 20-year contract.

In November the team reported that 9,500 tickets were still available and the team won't update the sales statistics until the new stadium is sold out.
