LSP: Texas House Candidates Debate How Prepared Texas Was for Ebola

On this week’s Lone Star Politics, the candidates to represent East Dallas, Garland, and Mesquite in the Texas House square off. Incumbent House District 107 Rep. Kenneth Sheets (R) and challenger Carol Donovan (D) debate how prepared the state is for a pandemic such as Ebola. Plus, House District 94 candidate Cole Ballweg (D) explains why he expects Republicans to vote for him instead of endorsed GOP candidate Tony Tinderholt (R), who declined repeated invitations to appear on Lone Star Politics. Plus, NBC 5’s Kevin Cokely asks Gromer Jeffers of The Dallas Morning News for his thoughts on a new poll that gives Greg Abbott a sixteen point lead in the race for governor. Watch Lone Star Politics Sunday at 8:40 a.m. on NBC 5.
