New “Amazing Spider-Man” Poster Promises “The Untold Story”

"The Untold Story."

Wow, talk about setting the bar high. Marc Webb's reboot of "Spider-Man" has a bold new poster that on one hand is supremely eye-catching, on the other hand is more than a little hubristic.

So Webb is going to tell the "untold story"? A story that has somehow not been covered in 2002's "Spider-Man," 2004's "Spider-Man 2," 2007's "Spider-Man 3," a Broadway musical, a live-action TV drama, multiple animated series, a Japanese "tokusatsu" knock-off, over 60 years of comic book continuity, and a frequent guest spot on "The Electric Company"?

Alright then. Maybe "untold" means "in 3D"?

All kidding aside, we're going to break the #1 rule of internet film criticism and actually wait until we see the film to pass final judgement. So until then we'll just enjoy the, again, admittedly cool poster.
