NASA Tech Designed for Space May Save Lives on Earth

Scientists at Jet Propulsion Laboratory have developed a type of radar that is designed to detect a survivor buried in as much as 30 feet of concrete and steel rubble from a building collapse. The device dubbed FINDER sends out a microwave signal that can detect skin movement caused by a heartbeat or breathing.
