DFW Connector Open Almost a Year Early

Traffic relief is now at hand for 180,000 motorists per day thanks to the completion and opening of the DFW Connector a year early. The ceremonial ribbon was cut on the $1.1 billion DFW Connector project. Construction began in early 2010 and ended nine months ahead of schedule. At its widest point, the eight-mile highway went from 12-lanes to 24 lanes in the area along SH 114 between Main Street and International Parkway.
