Police in Plano have shut down U.S. 75 in Plano due to high water over the road.

Police in Plano were forced to shut down U.S. 75 in Plano due to high water over the road Friday night.

Rescue crews say nine vehicles became stranded in at least two-feet of water near the President George Bush Turnpike.

Crews had to rescue 14 people from inside those six cars.

The highway reopened about an hour later once the high water receded.
