TMSG: Northwest Teachers Celebrated as Teachers of the Year

Two teachers from Northwest ISD are Thompson Elementary School’s Kelly Suarez won Elementary Teacher of the Year in the district and Medlin Middle School’s Wendall Bass won Secondary Teacher of the Year. Both were recognized at an awards ceremony last week. They were honored for their leadership, motivation and effectiveness in the classroom. Both Suarez and Bass now advance to the region 11 Teacher of the Year competition at the state level.
