Baby Giraffe Born at Texas Zoo

A baby giraffe named Lulu was born at the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler, Texas. Mother Crocket, an 8-year-old giraffe, gave birth on June 4 after a 15-month gestation period. Lulu was born six feet tall and weighed approximately 150 pounds. Caldwell Zoo staff reports that the family is doing well and that Cricket is a great mother who loves to lick Lulu on the head.
